The Creekside Quarter represents a bold investment in Medford’s future. It’s more than development—it’s a vision for economic vitality. With increased tourism, stronger infrastructure, and new opportunities for our businesses, this project will uplift our entire community. Supporting Measure 15-238 is the first step to making that vision a reality—a true win for everyone. -
Bob Hackett, Executive Director Travel Southern Oregon
"Medford is evolving into a hub for cultural and economic activity, and Creekside Quarter is the anchor for that transformation. The Conference and Events Center will attract regional and national attention, and with funding coming from the transient lodging tax, it’s a smart, sustainable model for destination growth. Voting YES on Measure 15-238 is a step toward a thriving future for our community."
Andy & Emily Whitlock, Owner-Makers Em’z Blendz Soap Co
"As business owners on Main Street, we're cutting through the noise. Here's what Measure 15-238 actually means for downtown: It uses a fee on visitor hotel rooms to build a conference center, the first step to the Creekside Quarter. For us, that translates directly to more people, more traffic, and more sales. It's a boost for the local economy paid for by visitors. For our business, that's the only bottom line that matters. Vote yes on Measure 15-238."
Matt Reed, Chief Operating Officer, Sport Oregon
"Creekside Quarter puts Medford on the map in a major way. With the addition of a stadium and a robust events infrastructure, we’re looking at the kind of sports tourism impact that drives real dollars into local economies. This project is a home run for the community. Supporting Measure 15-238 will ensure its success."
Al Densmore, Former Mayor of Medford and State Representative
"I’ve seen Medford through decades of change, and Creekside Quarter is one of the most promising visions I’ve encountered. It honors our past while boldly stepping into the future. With responsible funding through the transient lodging tax and strong civic partnerships, supporting Measure 15-238 is crucial for building lasting legacies."
Sue Kupillas, Former Jackson County Commissioner
"This is the kind of smart, community-driven investment that we need. It’s not about politics; it’s about people, jobs, and the future of our kids. Creekside Quarter brings together public and private resources in a transparent and responsible way. Supporting Measure 15-238 is essential for this vision."
Kevin Stine, Medford City Councilor
"Creekside Quarter shows what we can accomplish when we think long-term. This isn’t just about buildings; it’s about building momentum. The transient lodging tax isn’t a burden on residents; it’s a smart way to invest in Medford’s future with outside dollars. Vote YES on Measure 15-238."
Nick Card, Medford City Councilor
"Creekside Quarter isn’t speculation; it’s strategy. It’s a carefully planned catalyst for downtown revitalization based on proven models of success. Private investment is already lining up because the vision is real, the leadership is strong, and the opportunity is now. Let’s rally behind Measure 15-238."
Angela Zbikowski, Medford School Board Director
“I support Creekside Quarter, and measure 15-238, because we can’t maintain our schools if we don’t grow our city. By spurring business, jobs, and tourism —partially funded by private dollars and lodging tax on visitors, not residents—this development will help attract families and sustain school enrollment. Medford has already seen the great success of public amenities like Rogue X - this is the right move to strengthen our downtown and our schools.”

Medford Alert News endorses and urges a YES vote on Measure 15-238 to further the Creekside Quarter concept for downtown. As a long established and Medford-based, non-profit news outlet, we believe this measure represents an overall win for the city and its downtown, as it establishes the financial foundation for a generational public/private development project without adding to the tax burden of local residents.
Instead, visitors to Medford will see a small increase in their lodging costs, with that revenue directly funding this transformative initiative. Downtown Medford is on the cusp of an exciting new era—one that has the potential to reshape the heart of our community and strengthen its role as the cultural and economic core of all Southern Oregon. This measure provides the opportunity to build a thriving, vibrant, and sustainable urban downtown that benefits residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
Medford Alert News sees the long-term value in this project and fully supports and endorses Measure 15-238.
